Viking Life-Saving Equipment A/S, the Denmark based provider of safety equipment and fire-fighting equipment for vessels, marine, defense and other industries, has agreed to acquire Norsafe AS, the Norway-based designer and manufacturer of lifeboats and other marine products, for an undisclosed consideration.
The acquisition is in line with VIKING’s long-running strategy of putting the customer’s needs and priorities. The acquisition will enhance Viking’s global reach and provide better products to its customers. Norsafe has supplied over 28,000 lifeboats to the global ship market over the years. The transaction is expected to complete by October 1, 2018.
